David Gray was born in Manchester, and raised in Wales. His early influences include traditional Irish music.  David has released three albums to date: A Century Ends (1993), Flesh (1994) and Sell, Sell, Sell (1996). Each new album has come from a new record company, going from Caroline Records, to Virgin, and then to E.M.I.  He is working independently now, putting down demos on tape;  and rumor has it that he has an album in the works, though it will be a while before it is released.
